
A violent brawl involving Afghan migrants left two men seriously injured on Sunday evening in Lommel, Belgium.
The incident broke out around 5:30 p.m. at a bus stop on Kerkstraat. According to authorities, at least one knife was used during the clash, which ended with two men suffering serious injuries, including one victim reportedly stabbed in the neck.
Locals say fights and migrant violence have occurred in the area before, but never with such severity.
Video footage circulating on social media showed the extent of the chaos.

The Limburg public prosecutorâs office confirmed that six people were arrested following the violence. Police quickly sealed off the area as investigators and forensic teams arrived on the scene.
Witnesses described scenes of young men chasing one another, with one man in a bright blue jacket clearly holding a knife in the video. âCall the police!â a bystander can be heard shouting.
The natives watching arenât even surprised anymore,â remarked Flemish nationalist Dries Van Langenhove on X.
Chairman of Vlaams Belang Tom Van Grieken added, âWhat terrible images of the stabbing today in Lommel. What have they let in here? Our cities, villages, and streets must become safe again. Whoever does this must be removed.â
âAbout 20 Afghans got into a fight with each other,â acting mayor Peter Vanderkrieken stated, as cited by HLN. He said the violence involved a group of Afghans who traveled into Lommel specifically to âteach a lessonâ to another Afghan man staying at the local Fedasil asylum center.
Footage showed men running through the streets, one with visible bloodstains on his shirt, as cars honked at the chaos spilling onto the road. Locals expressed their alarm over the worsening violence. âItâs not uncommon for there to be fights here,â one resident told the Belgian news outlet. âBut it has never been this bad.â
