Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) was perplexed Thursday morning after a clip from Turning Point circulating on social media criticized him as a “RINO,” pointing out the organization’s late founder Charlie Kirk supported him.

Responding to a Turning Point Action post highlighting a Wednesday rally in Kentucky where President Donald Trump endorsed his opponent Ed Gallrein, Rep. Massie asked, “What’s gotten into y’all?” The post was captioned, “Trump pumps up rural KY voters at MASSIVE rally featuring Jake Paul — To Stop RINO Massie.”
Rep. Massie attached a screenshot of an X post by slain TP Action founder Charlie Kirk calling him “one of my favorite Congressman.”

A Jan. 2023 clip from “The Charlie Kirk Show” also features Kirk giving Massie a warm introduction before an interview, further underscoring his support for the Kentucky congressman.
In September, Charlie Kirk was publicly executed and his wife Erika took over TPUSA; however, the organization has not explained why it is now against Massie, who was supported by Kirk.
Trump, meanwhile, has been laying in on Massie and sees the 2026 midterms as his latest opportunity to get rid of the GOP rep, who has frequently gotten under his skin by going against the Republican grain, opposing the Iran and Venezuela military operations, and by forcing the release of the Epstein files.
Unfortunately for Trump, Gallrein may not have the momentum to move the needle – and Massie says the people of Kentucky “support my work on the Epstein files, reigning in spending, ending forever wars, draining the swamp, and food freedom!”
