One of the WNBA’s most exciting players ever, NCAA legend Caitlin Clark, has been taking a beating on the court from giant Amazonian women, with referees facing criticism for failing to act on the brazen violent assaults.

During her college career, Clark was an NCAA all-star soaring above her peers in stats, as The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft explains:

Former Iowa basketball player Caitlin Clark is the all-time greatest scorer in NCAA basketball. Along the way, she also broke most of the NCAA assist records.

Look at how Caitlin compared to the rest of the women’s NCAA players in her final year in college. This is an absolutely amazing chart that displays Caitlin’s excellence.

Now, after starting on the WNBA’s Indiana Fever team last May, Clark’s opponents have her in their sights, appearing ready to violently take her out of the game altogether.

Various videos going viral on social media showcase the violence Clark has been facing on the court throughout her career, with many claiming referees are failing to properly foul players or eject them from the game.

The frequent attacks on Clark have led to the creation of various compilation reels.

One of the most recent brazen assaults earlier this month featured up to three Phoenix Mercury opponents teaming up on Clark, knocking her down after swiping at her face.

Hoft writes the numerous fouls may have finally gotten to Clark, as her performance appears to be declining.

Caitlin, the greatest shooter in women’s basketball history, is now 1 of 23 in 3-point shots in her last three games. That’s a 4% completion rate! What happened?

She has NEVER suffered such a slump.

Maybe all of the abuse, bad calls, crappy coaching, and vicious assaults have finally taken Caitlin down.

However, the multiple fouls against Clark have prompted Indiana Fever shooting guard Sophie Cunningham to step in and defend her – costing her a $400 fine after she struck back at an opponent during a recent game.

Cunningham later explained she believed she had to defend the “star player of the NBA” due to refs’ nonexistent calls.

“I think the refs had a lot to do with that. It was a build up for a couple years now of them just not protecting the star player of the WNBA,” Cunningham told reporters. “And so, at the end of the day, I’m going to protect my teammates. That’s what I do. I’m a team player, so it’s all good.”

Clark will sit out Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a left groin injury. While it’s uncertain when she’ll return, it’s clear she’s rattling cages and finally making the WNBA a watchable sport.
