President Donald Trump said Democrats have tampered with and manipulated the Epstein files and that Attorney General Pam Bondi would decide what will be released.
Speaking outside the White House Tuesday, Trump told reporters, “No, no, she’s [Bondi] given us just a very quick briefing and in terms of the credibility of the different things that they’ve seen.”
“And I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by the Biden… you know, and we went through years of that with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, with all of the different things that we had to go through, we’ve gone through years of it — but she’s handled it very well and it’s going to be up to her, whatever she thinks is credible, she should release, yeah.”
Trump’s latest comments on Epstein follow a lengthy screed on Truth Social over the weekend where he also accused Obama officials of manipulating the files, and chastised supporters for obsessing on the topic, rather than his administration’s tremendous successes.
“We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein,” Trump wrote. “For years, itâs Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, ‘THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,’ and more? They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called ‘friends’ are playing right into their hands. Why didnât these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files?”
The Truth Social post followed an explosive moment last week where Trump lambasted a reporter for asking about Epstein during a Cabinet meeting press conference.
The reporter’s question came on the heels of a DOJ/FBI memo earlier in the week claiming Epstein indeed killed himself inside his Metropolitan Correctional Center cell in New York, and that there was no evidence of the highly-anticipated client list or a suspected blackmail operation.
On Tuesday, Infowars host Alex Jones revealed through sources the Trump administration is aware of the MAGA base’s concern over the Epstein case and he soon plans to appoint a special counsel to investigate the matter.
