Image Credit: Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick reportedly shared his personal phone number with Jeffrey Epstein and kept in contact with him through his secretary, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) told CNN Tuesday night.
The congressman joined CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins after reviewing unredacted Epstein files at the Justice Department.
“Well, I saw that Lutnick shared his phone number with Epstein and that their assistants were setting up phone calls between them. So there is at least that other connection,” Massie told Collins.
Thomas Massie says he has confirmed that Howard Lutnick gave Jeffrey Epstein his personal phone number, with their assistants coordinating calls between the two.

According to Massie, records show Lutnick and Epstein were in contact far more than previously acknowledged.

Rep. Massie’s remarks came as Lutnick earlier in the day explained to the Senate Appropriation Subcommittee that he communicated with Epstein long after he claimed to have severed ties and had sailed to his island by boat with his family to have lunch – years after he was convicted for child sex trafficking.
People can decide if they care are or not, I suppose, but Howard Lutnick told this melodramatic, detailed story about he met Jeffrey Epstein in 2005 and was so "disgusted" by him that he ran out and never saw him again.

The whole story was a total lie.pic.twitter.com/gsxU8JYkmj
The revelations prompted calls for the commerce secretary to resign, as many prominent figures in Europe have stepped down after being engulfed in the scandal.
Massie on Howard Lutnick: "He should just resign. Three people in Great Britain resigned for less than what we've seen Howard Lutnick lie about. He clearly went to the island, if we believe what's in these files. He was in business with Jeffrey Epstein." pic.twitter.com/0Lj7j9li6a

Howard Lutnick must resign for lying about his connections to Epstein or the Trump admin must fire him now! https://t.co/0YOIhoVx0s pic.twitter.com/STLFOcjAp9
