31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen of California reportedly assembled a “long weapon” in a room near the ballroom before opening fire, striking a Secret Service agent and getting shot in return.
There are many oddities surrounding the event that caused internet users to question the authenticity of the incident, so Jones detailed the controversial parts of the situation and concluded he does not believe the shooting was staged.
In a second video post, Jones wrote, “I do not think the shooting last night at the Whitehouse Correspondents Dinner was staged,” saying the culprit is a registered Democrat with Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Journalist Laura Loomer criticized Jones for simply titling his video, “Was the Trump Whitehouse Correspondents Dinner Shooting Staged?”
“This is truly a despicable thing for Alex to say about the Trump administration,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, 𝕏 users in the comment section pointed out Jones clearly stated he DOES NOT believe the shooting was staged.
