Footage has gone viral showing Pope Leo bless a crowd at an electronic dance party in Košice, Slovakia, earlier this month.
The papal blessing happened during a rave set by Padre Guilherme, known as the “DJ priest,” outside of the historic St. Elisabeth Cathedral, in celebration of the Archibishop Bernard Bober’s 75th birthday.
Video shows the pope appear on a large screen and impart an apostolic blessing on rave-goers before the stage goes dim and the DJ drops an EDM beat.

Dear young people.
With joy I greet you as you gather before the splendid cathedral of Košice, which is a beating heart of faith and hope.
Coming from different nations yet united by the same faith, your presence is a tangible sign of the fraternity and peace that is instilled in our heart by friendship with Christ.
I impart to you my apostolic blessing and entrust each of you the protection of the Virgin Mary, mother of the church and Queen of Peace.
And may the blessing of almighty God, the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain with you always. Amen.
