Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly urged the US Secret Service to investigate Robert De Niro after the actor called to “get rid of” President Donald Trump.
Discussing De Niro’s recent appearance on MS Now host Nicolle Wallace’s podcast “The Best People,” O’Reilly noted the anti-Trump actor repeated the need to “get rid of” the President three times – incitements he said should likely warrant a Secret Service investigation.
“Now, he said the words, we got to get rid of him three times, any interviewer other than Nicolle Wallace would have said, ‘What do you mean by that?'” O’Reilly said in a recent report.
“He’s elected. 77 million people voted for him. What’s ‘We got to get rid of him?’ Are you talking about impeachment? What are you talking about?”

If convicted, O’Reilly says De Niro could face 5 years in prison.

O’Reilly went on to note that if convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 871 of threatening to take the life of the president, De Niro could be facing as many as five years in prison.
“So I’m the secret service director and I’m seeing this three times, ‘We got to get rid of him.’ I got agents pulling De Niro in for a Q&A. And he’d better have a lawyer.
“Now, you could charge him based upon his answers to the interrogation. If he takes the fifth, ‘I refuse to answer on the grounds…’ you could charge him. And if he were convicted, he’d get five years in prison under this code.”
“But I’d make an example of this guy, De Niro. And I wouldn’t do it for vindictive or politics. I wouldn’t do that. But enough’s enough on the threats. ‘We got to get rid of him.’ What are you talking about?”
During the same interview, De Niro broke down in tears claiming Trump was dividing the people and destroying the country – oblivious to the left’s own seething hatred toward fellow Americans.
