A 16-year-old Tunisian and a 24-year-old Syrian were seriously injured in a knife fight near Dresden’s main railway station on Wednesday night, police said.
The men clashed around 9 p.m. on Wiener Platz, where officers later recovered two knives believed to have been used in the attack.
Both were taken to hospital with severe injuries, at least one reportedly suffering abdominal wounds.
Authorities have opened an investigation on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The incident comes just days after a 21-year-old American was slashed on a tram while defending two women from harassment.
Police linked that case to a Syrian suspect with a record of violent crimes, who was briefly detained but released.
