After President Donald Trump’s positive phone call with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Monday morning, the President had a “very good” call with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. The calls come as Minneapolis, Minnesota is gripped by anti-ICE riots and civil unrest targeting Trump’s deportation operations.

Border czar Tom Homan is set to speak with Frey in-person when he travels to Minnesota on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Trump reported that Walz had called him and the two discussed federal efforts to alleviate the state from criminals (the ICE agents in Minnesota have been targeting criminal illegal aliens for arrest and deportation).
Trump also directed Homan to call Walz, and said that Walz was happy the border czar was coming to his state. This may come off as doubtful to some, as Walz appeared upset in a statement he made Sunday.
According to the President, Walz and him appeared to be on the same page in regard to the effort of apprehending criminals – a departure from statements the Governor made in weeks prior, such as calling for a military uprising against federal ICE agents.
On Monday Alex Jones reported that Walz is just acting friendly with Trump, despite him running the attacks.
On Sunday Trump urged both Mayor Frey and Gov. Walz to cooperate with the federal effort to apprehend criminal illegal aliens.
