Boebert on Thursday told reporters she’s a no vote on the Department of War’s $200 billion war supplemental funding package seeking to cover Iran war costs, adding she’s frustrated with the military industrial complex wasting tax dollars.
“I will not vote for a war supplemental. No—I am a no,” Boebert told reporters. “I’ve already told leadership I am a no on any war supplementals. I am so tired of spending money elsewhere. I am tired of the industrial war complex getting all of our hard-earned tax dollars.”

"I’m tired of the industrial war complex getting all our hard-earned tax dollars. We need America First policies.”

“I have folks in Colorado who can’t afford to live. We need America First policies right now—and I’m not doing that. We need the Save America Act, FISA with warrants…”
“There’s a lot of hard lines that I have right now, and we’ve got to get our act together. If we want to keep this majority, the path that we’re going doesn’t look very promising,” Boebert said.
Asked if Trump should exit the Iran war, Boebert responded, “That’s up to the president.”
The MAGA-aligned congresswoman’s remarks came as Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Thursday acknowledged the $200 billion figure, adding, “I think that number could move, obviously.”

“It takes money to kill bad guys, so we’re going back to congress and folks there to ensure we’re properly funded for what’s been done, for what we may have to do in the future, ensure that our ammunition, everything is refilled, not just refilled but above and beyond,” Hegseth told reporters during a briefing.
The debate over supplemental war funding comes as President Donald Trump is supposedly contemplating deploying American troops to the region to help keep the critical Strait of Hormuz waterway open to ships exporting oil and other energy related commodities and goods.
