A hot mic captured Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin discuss achieving “immortality” via biotechnology & organ transplants.
“Earlier, people lived rarely to 70, but these days at 70 years you are still a child,” said Xi in footage captured by Chinese-state media broadcaster CCTV while walking to yesterday’s celebration and military parade in Beijing.
Putin’s translator could then be heard saying in Chinese: “With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality.”
Xi responded: “Predictions are, this century, there’s a chance of also living to 150.”
