Former Green Beret Lt. Col. Dr. Pete Chambers, who’s looking to unseat Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), said if elected governor he’ll direct his attorney general to arrest former NIAID Director Anthony Fauci for “crimes against humanity.”
Speaking at an event in West Palm Beach, Florida, Saturday, Dr. Chambers said he’d appoint a former Marine he’d fought with in Iraq to head the Texas Department of Public Safety, who would work on bringing Fauci to justice.
“He’s a Marine. He’s meaner than a snake. He loves Jesus and he’s on my team right now — so that guy with me, he’s gonna arrest Fauci and he’s gonna bring him [to justice]…,” Chambers outlined.
Retired Green Beret Dr. Pete Chambers announced he is running for Governor in Texas and will use his power to issue arrest warrants for Anthony Fauci and other officials who promoted mRNA vaccination during the pandemic.

The self-described “Texas First” Republican candidate added Fauci would be incarcerated and face trial.
“He’ll go to jail, and then we’ll conduct a trial, or do whatever – whatever the offense is for crimes against humanity. We’ll look it up in the statutes, it’s in there. And we’ll handle it, and then next one will fall, and then next one, and so on.”
“And we’ll bring actual accountability in the State of Texas, and they will be afraid to come into Texas in the Republic of Texas,” Dr. Chambers continued, adding, “But they will also…have to fulfill that through the Department of Justice [on the] federal side, because it’s a felony arrest warrant.”
Dr. Chambers joins a chorus of legislators who have called for Dr. Fauci to be prosecuted in recent years over his role in the Covid pandemic — including his promotion of face masks, social distancing, business closures and the jab regimen that maimed and killed thousands, as well as his involvement in the virus’ origins and gain-of-function research.
Gov. Abbott has indicated he will seek reelection next year.
The Texas governor’s race is part of midterm elections to be held November 3, 2026.
