He added, “Well, listen. The legal term for my people were slaves. You want me to use that term too? So, look, let’s just get the language right. We’re talking about undocumented individuals that are human beings.”
“The last thing that I’m going to do is accept the type of racist, nasty language to describe human beings,” Johnson said as Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) nodded in agreement
The bizarre comments are an example of the left’s war on language where they use peer pressure to try an paint people as “racist” for using the correct terminology.
For example, Democrats have pushed for a switch from the legal term “illegal alien” to the politically correct “undocumented migrant.”
