A female employee was viciously attacked by a group of assailants inside an Indiana Walmart over the weekend, according to reports.
The shocking incident unfolded on Friday afternoon in Indianapolis.
Tikerra Hicks had just exited a restroom when she was ambushed by a mob, Fox 59 reports.
Witness footage shot by a man identified as Kind Butler has been circulating on social media.
“There wasn’t any questioning, no anything,” Butler said. “Just as soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up.”
Hicks can be seen lying on the floor while she is punched and kicked by multiple women, including one holding a small child.
Other workers and a security guard attempt to intervene but the beating continues.
A young male appears to stomp on Hicks at one point during the fracas.
The victim eventually regains her footing, but is swarmed again.
The woman holding a toddler delivers several blows to Hicks’ head before she eventually takes refuge at the customer service kiosk.
Hicks told Fox 59 that a friend of hers has been accused of raping a member of the family who attacked her, but claims she does not know why they came after her.
“I just hear, ‘There she go,’ and then boom on the side of my head I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks said.
“[The alleged rape] have nothing to do with me,” she explained. “I wasn’t there, even if it did happen, to protect her. And I wasn’t there to defend him either.”
Hicks has reportedly been suspended from her job but no arrests have been made, according to the latest available updates.
Walmart employees told local media they are not allowed to discuss the incident.
