“She’s got to go — we are dead serious,” Jeffries told reporters in the Capitol Thursday. “She needs to be put on ice permanently.”
“Putting someone on ice” is a euphemistic slang expression that means to kill someone and make sure they stay dead.
“These people are SICK!” Said the White House’s official rapid response account on X.
After public outcry, Jeffries addressed his choice of words.
“She needs to be put on ice. It’s clear, right?” Said Jeffries in a statement published by Fox News’ White House Correspondent Aishah Hasnie. “That means gone. G-O-N-E. From her position. Don’t misinterpret anything that I’ve said.”
Jeffries’ words comes amid the left’s increasingly hostile rhetoric against federal agents enforcing the Trump administration’s key mandate of upholding immigration laws.
Earlier this week, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner called ICE Agents “wannabe Nazis” and threatened to “hunt them down”
“This is a small bunch of wannabe Nazis. In a country of 350 million, we outnumber them,” said the George Soros-funded Democrat operative outside City Hall Tuesday. “If we have to hunt you down the way they hunted down Nazis for decades, we will find your identities, we will find you, we will achieve justice.”

How is a public official openly inciting violent hatred like this?

Also this week, late-night host Stephen Colbert said ICE agents are effectively worse than Nazis, because “Nazis were willing to show their faces.”
“Do not compare ICE or Border Patrol agents to the Nazis,” said Colbert Monday. “That’s an unfair comparison. The Nazis were willing to show their faces.”
Popular X user “End Wokeness” cut right to the chase on the utility of the left’s messaging campaign.
