Image Credit: magno screenshot U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was roasted online this week for changing the narrative about why America got involved in the war with Iran.
Rubio originally told reporters Monday that the Trump administration decided to strike Iran because it “knew there was going to be Israeli action” against Iran” that would result in Iranian attacks on U.S. forces.
Then, on Tuesday, Rubio was asked about President Trump countering his statement by claiming America might have forced Israel’s hand.
The reporter asked on Tuesday, “Yesterday, you told us that Israel was going to strike Iran and that that’s why we needed to get involved. Today, the president said that Iran was going to strike.”
Rubio interjected, “No. Your statement is false, I was asked very specifically, were you there yesterday?”
“Yes, I asked you the question,” the journalist quipped.
