President Donald Trump, who orchestrated the Gaza peace plan, announced on Monday that the remains of the final Israeli hostage has been returned – accomplishing a key objective of Trump’s multi-point plan to end hostilities between Israel and its neighbors.

Despite setbacks and objections Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the U.S. continues to press on with Trump’s agenda of peace, Infowars reported January 18.
“This is our show, not his show. We managed to do things in Gaza in recent months nobody thought was possible, and we are going to continue moving,” a senior U.S. official told Axios, making reference to Netanyahu.
Monday’s announcement of the final set of remains being returned marks a pivotal point in the advancement of the peace process.
In October 2025 Hamas released all the living hostages, although the task of locating and returning the remains of the deceased hostages remained.
“The plan includes measures to ensure the release of the remaining Israeli hostages held by Hamas, as well as measures to guarantee Palestinian statehood and regenerate the Gaza Strip. It also stipulates that Hamas cannot be part of any future governing structure for the enclave,” Infowars reported in September.
Israel confirmed the remains returned on Monday belonged to Staff Sgt. Ran Gvili, who was working as an Israel Police officer when he was killed on October 7, 2023.
Fears swirled in Gaza that botching the return of the dead Israelis could jeopardize the lives of the Palestinian survivors.
“Fears are growing among Palestinians in Gaza that a delay by Hamas in handing over the bodies of Israeli hostages could derail the fragile ceasefire, after seven Palestinians were killed earlier today in two separate incidents described by Hamas’s civil defence as Israeli attacks,” the BBC said in October 2025. “Many residents tell the BBC they are worried the violence could risk the truce and derail the start of the second phase of negotiations, talks that will determine Gaza’s future governance, the fate of Hamas’s weapons, and the start of reconstruction.”
In October the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that one of the four dead bodies returned to them by Hamas was the wrong dead body. This came as tensions remained high during the Trump-ceasefire-phase of dead-body-returning.
Geopolitical expert Joel Skousen explained (at 2:34:30 into the September 29 Alex Jones Show) how the remains are extremely important to Israel, as many Jews do not believe in the eternal life of the soul after death.
With the body-return phase complete, Israel can move to the second phase of the peace plan.
“The second phase of the 20-point ceasefire deal will involve Hamas disarming and Israeli troops withdrawing from the Gaza Strip. It will also include the creation of an international monitoring force for the territory, under the supervision of an international board led by President Trump,” Infowars reported in December.
On January 15 Trump announced the formation of a Gaza Board of Peace – a group that will oversee a technocratic committee charged with administering the Gaza Strip during a transitional period, Infowars reported.
