President Donald Trump sat down for an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday, revealing his administration is prepared to launch military strikes against Mexican drug cartels, and warning the Iranian and Cuban regimes are on the brink of collapse.
Asked about the massive civil unrest in Iran, the president said the regime could collapse and threatened to get involved if its forces kill and arrest unarmed demonstrators.
“I said if they do that, we’re going to hit them very hard, we’re going to hit them hard. We’re ready to do it. If they do that, we’re gonna hit them hard,” Trump said.
Regarding drug cartels “running Mexico,” POTUS declared, “We are going to start hitting land with regard to the cartels… They’re killing 250, 300,000 people in our country every single year, the drugs.”
When it comes to Cuba, President Trump noted the country relies on Venezuela for money and oil in return for providing protection to the Venezuelan regime.
Continuing to comment on the Venezuela situation, POTUS described the historic capture of Venezuelan dictator NicolĂĄs Maduro and called it “amazing” that no Americans were killed.
“The other side lost a lot of people, unfortunately. But, you know this house was in the middle of a fort with thousands of people and soldiers and everything else,” he said.
