While President Donald Trump previously intended to meet Ukraine’s Dictator Vladimir Zelensky over the Thanksgiving weekend to officiate a peace deal that will bring an end to the conflict, influence from Ukraine’s European enablers has pushed back the timeframe until “ONLY when the deal to end this War is FINAL or, in its final stages,” Trump said.
Adding to the fervor against reaching a peace settlement, U.S. representatives have now called for the firing of Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff over a leaked October phone call in which he allegedly “advised” the Russians on the peace deal, something the White House and Trump himself said was standard negotiation procedure.
While Trump’s advisors are still in touch with Kiev and Moscow, Zelensky’s previous willingness for peace has been wiped away after a weekend of contact with his European enablers.
Now Ukraine refuses to budge on territorial secessions and restrictions on joining NATO – two red lines for Russia. The Europeans have successfully got a previously-compliant Kiev to pick apart Trump’s 28-point peace plan to a point which Moscow will no longer accept.
Aleksandr Bevz, an adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office said Ukraine will not agree to recognize any of its territorial losses and will not make any changes to its constitution to pave the way for such a move, calling it a red line for the Ukrainian people.
“There is nothing to discuss here from the Ukrainian point of view,” he said.
When Trump announced that Ukraine’s current version of peace is not worthy of an in-person meeting with Zelensky (as it would not be accepted by Russia, so the war would just continue) the Dictator’s chief advisor Andriy Yermak was reportedly shocked.
The sentiment in the European Union is also one of no compromise. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Ukraine’s future is in the EU and that adding that Kiev’s membership is a “core and essential part of any security guarantee framework.” Despite peace talks, she said Russia shows “no signs of true willingness to end this conflict,” and that the EU must “keep up the pressure” on Moscow.
While Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff is set to visit Moscow next week, a scandal has broke out over an October phone call that Trump has characterized as standard practice.
During the call, Witkoff told Yuri Ushakov, the top foreign policy aide to the Russian President, that achieving peace would require Russia gaining control of Donetsk and potentially a separate territorial exchange.
“Now, me to you, I know what it’s going to take to get a peace deal done: Donetsk and maybe a land swap somewhere,” Witkoff said during the five-minute conversation, according to Bloomberg’s transcript. “But I’m saying instead of talking like that, let’s talk more hopefully because I think we’re going to get to a deal here.”
Witkoff is now being called a “traitor” just as the Democrat traitorous coup plot comes to light, a perfect diversion.

Trump described Witkoff’s interaction with the Russians in the call as “standard” negotiating procedure.
“He’s got to sell this to Ukraine. He’s got to sell Ukraine to Russia,” Trump said Tuesday night. “That’s what a dealmaker does.”
