President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a message to Iranians via Truth Social, encouraging “patriots” to “keep protesting” and “take over” their institutions.
“Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY. MIGA!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” he wrote.
On Monday, POTUS declared a 25% tariff on “any country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
In addition to the tariff and support for “Iranian patriots,” the president canceled all meetings with Iranian officials.
The veiled threat of impending U.S. military action in Iran resulted in crude oil prices spiking Tuesday morning.
It looks like the Trump administration’s June 2025 strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities wasn’t the end of the standoff with Ayatollah Khamenei’s regime.
