On Wednesday a clip from CNN reporting on a new poll out of NBC News made the rounds on social media. The data from the poll showed proof of President Donald Trump’s absolute popularity among those who find him popular.
The Leftist’s poll claims that 100% of Trump supporters support Trump. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reposted the video, appearing to agree with CNN’s reporting.
More specifically, the poll reported that 100% of MAGA approves of Trump – this gives credibility to the notion that MAGA is not purely a political movement to Make American Great Again, but rather just the support of Donald Trump the man, regardless of what he does.
Trump himself recently kicked talkshow host Tucker Carlson out of MAGA, indicating that neither political values nor a decade of supporting Trump are enough to be included in the MAGA club.
Townhall detailed the strangely excited reporting out of CNN:
“Just take a look here, MAGA, GOP, view of Trump, approve 100 percent, 100 percent. If you are a member of MAGA and the GOP, you approve of Donald John Trump; 0 percent say that they disapprove,” CNN’s Harry Enten said, referencing a recent NBC poll. “You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to know you can’t go higher than 100 percent. He is the 1972 Miami Dolphins.”
“Now, there are some Republicans who disapprove of Donald John Trump, but they are not members of the Make America Great Again movement. The bottom line is this. If you are a member of MAGA, you approve of Donald Trump.”
“It’s interesting, though, because there have been a couple of prominent people who have sort of come out online, and they’re very mad about this war with Iran because he promised no new wars,” a CNN reporter said. “Is there any sign that people might be leaving MAGA relative to 2024?”
This is not the first time CNN admired President Trump however. In November the outlet implied that Republicans can stop worrying about politics all together, as Trump is as popular as ever.
Despite the ongoing MAGA civil war causing Trump to hemorrhage support in the polls according to Mark Mitchell of the provenly-accurate Rasmussen Reports, CNN was claiming that Trump is still as popular as ever and that Republicans should stop being concerned about any future elections and can essentially “sit back and eat the popcorn.”
The news outlet which is now glorifying Trump was once hammered by him as “fake news” throughout his first candidacy and presidency.
