A naked refugee from Africa is continuously causing chaos in the small German town of Neuffen in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The man routinely strips naked and rampages through the town, with authorities “unable” to stop him for two years.
The town, like many German towns, is known as a tranquil place close to the city of Stuttgart. However, the town of 6,000 is no longer as tranquil as it used to be. The African refugee arrived from Africa two years ago, has a variety of mental issues, and easily loses his temper, according to Bild newspaper. Among his victims are children and the elderly.
On Thursday morning last week, the 36-year-old African once again stripped naked and rampaged through the town.
An eyewitness, Alexander S., said: “The man ran naked through the town, smashing cars, and banging on glass doors behind which shopkeepers and their customers had barricaded themselves.”
Another man, Ahmad H., apparently also with a migration background, told Bild: “My three-year-old daughter panicked and started crying. Other children on their way to school ran away screaming.”
Ahmad H. told the paper he saw the African man attack an elderly victim.
“The naked man pushed the man to the ground and hit him. I then armed myself with a street traffic sign and ran over,” said Ahmad.
Together with innkeeper Alexander S., they managed to free the victim and hold down the asylum seeker until the police arrived.
The African man has struck fear in residents for his past actions, including targeting the elderly and children.
Dirk F., who is a neighbor of the man, said: “He’s also been standing naked in front of my door. He harasses and threatens other people, and the police are called repeatedly.”
Ahmad H. added that the man targets children, which could prove foreboding for future encounters.
“The man pushes children away and tells them, ‘You can’t go to school today!”’ said Ahmad H.
Like many other cases across Germany involving criminal foreigners, some of whom have dozens of criminal acts on their record, authorities are showing that they are unable to effectively combat repeat migrant offenders.
Alexander S. asked why authorities have failed to take action against the man and worries that something tragic in the future may occur.
“Does someone have to be seriously injured or die before they take care of the man?”
Alexander S. said the man has even told him that he knows he has a mental illness.
There is now an open police investigation for the charge of assault; however, Reutlingen Police Spokesperson Christian Wörner did not respond to a request for comment regarding the man’s criminal record and a request for his nationality, although other police sources have indicated the man is from the African nation of Togo.
The man has reportedly been taken to a psychiatric hospital since the latest incident, but there are worries he could be quickly released again.
In fact, a police source from Neuffen said they expect the man to be released soon, which means the man could soon be back on the streets of the quaint town.
