Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) on Thursday notified acting Attorney General Todd Blanche that he’ll soon have to release the remaining Epstein files or face criminal prosecution.

The GOP Kentucky congressman wasted no time informing Blanche of his official duties shortly after he was installed following Pam Bondi’s unceremonious removal by President Donald Trump.

“Congratulations AG Blanche. Now you have 30 days to release the rest of the files before becoming criminally liable for failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act,” Massie posted to X in a quote reply of the former Deputy AG’s post acknowledging his new role as AG.

Rep. Massie’s warning came as Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) said former Attorney General Bondi would still have to testify to the House Oversight Committee regarding the Epstein files despite being fired from her Cabinet position.

“Bondi handled the Epstein Files in a terrible manner and seriously undermined President Trump,” the South Carolina congresswoman wrote on X following news of the former attorney general’s dismissal on Thursday.

Time will tell if Blanche is any more transparent than his predecessor, and it remains to be seen who the president picks to permanently fill the role.
