President Donald Trump is being urged by several members of the MAGA coalition to hold the criminal deep state accountable in order to regain the trust of the American people.
After former Trump national security advisor Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn on Monday issued an open letter to the president saying “enough is enough” and calling on him to make 2026 the “year of accountability,” conservative firebrand Kari Lake and right-leaning CNN contributor Scott Jennings echoed Flynn’s sentiments.
In a fiery interview with Newsmax, Lake fumed over recent reports of rampant fraud in Minnesota, saying, “I think this is treasonous.”
“This is an act against the American people,” Lake told host David Harris, adding, “I believe this is happening knowingly.”
What happened in Minnesota is not merely criminal, it’s treasonous.

“I believe this is part of how you win elections in Minnesota is you get the huge block of people who are coming here and defrauding the American people and the goodwill of the American people.”
Lake continued: “I am so fed up right now. I wish that you could feel the anger that I have inside of me after seeing this story and realizing the goodwill of the American people is being taken advantage of. And there’s not one damn person with handcuffs on.”
The former Arizona gubernatorial candidate went on to say she’s frustrated over the corruption in DC and the lack of arrests, despite Democrats’ vicious retribution campaign against Trump and his associates.
“There’s not a damn person in handcuffs. Yet they drag Roger Stone out of his house. They raided Mar-a-Lago. They attacked President Trump. When are we gonna see some effing handcuffs on some effing criminals in this country? The American people have had it up to here. And we want some people locked up, prosecuted, behind bars for the rest of their lives. We’re sick and tired of it.”
Likewise, CNN contributor Scott Jennings told host Abby Phillip crimes like the fraud discovered in Minnesota will continue unless someone powerful is held accountable.
“Well, some people have been held accountable,” Jennings conceded, “but I think in the opinion of most Republicans, not nearly enough, and truthfully, until somebody in a position of power, until somebody in a position in Minnesota, elected position who was in charge of administering this, or having some oversight over it goes to jail, it’s honestly never gonna stop.”

“Look what’s going on in blue states across the country. $9 billion in Minnesota, $70 billion in fraud in California, cooking the crime stats in Washington, D.C…when is someone in a position of power going to go to jail for the rampant fraud?”
“What I am telling you, though, is in the case of these states and locales, this is public money, tax payer money. People get elected, they’re supposed to run the program,” Jennings said. “And the key point about Tim Walz, the Medicaid program is run by the state and he bragged about putting more money into this daycare system that is obviously rife with fraud.”
The growing frustration over the lawless deep state getting away with their crimes was articulated on Monday by former Defense Intelligence Agency head Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, who in a letter to the president called on him to defang the globalist cabal that hijacked the country.
“All Americans are demanding ACCOUNTABILITY,” Flynn wrote.
