Fifteen illegal migrants from Central America have arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo—7,000 miles from their home countries.
The Congolese government plans to keep the deportees in the country for a short period of time, before they can return to Central America.
According to Breitbart, “The new ‘Safe Third Country’ deportation policy is a big win because it bypasses a legal maneuver used by many migrants who persuaded judges that their home country is too dangerous for a safe deportation.
“That courtroom maneuver has allowed many migrants—including the 15 Congo deportees plus ‘Maryland Man’ Kilmar Abrego Garcia—to stay in the United States even after they are ordered home.”
The Democrats have consistently opposed the deportation of migrants to safe third countries.
At present, the Department of Homeland Security has deals with seven African countries, as well as countries in Central and South America.
Last weekend, 25 illegals were delivered to the Costa Rican capital San Jose, under a new migration deal.
