Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a de facto Democrat Party leader, announced her Texas senatorial campaign Monday with a strange ad featuring President Donald Trump repeatedly mocking her.
The ad shows Crockett slowly turning to the camera dressed in black amongst a black background, overlaid with multiple audio clips featuring President Trump mercilessly roasting her as a low-IQ individual.

How about this new one they have? Their new star, Crockett. How about her? She’s the new star of the Democrat Party, Jasmine Crockett. They’re in big trouble… But you have this woman, Crockett. She’s a very low IQ person… I watched her speak the other day, she’s definitely a low-IQ person… Crockett, oh man, oh man… She’s a very low-IQ person. Somebody said the other day, ‘She’s one of the leaders of the party.’ I said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding.’ And now they’re gonna rely on Crockett, Crockett’s going to bring them back.
The ad ends with Crockett smiling at the camera, as “Crockett For U.S. Senate” flashes on the screen.
The bizarreness of the ad was underscored by a rapper indulging a cringe track hyping Crockett during her Senate campaign announcement party on Monday.

Crockett’s announcement comes as she will soon find herself out of a job after the Supreme Court on Friday cleared Texas’ new redistricting maps for the 2026 election, doing away with her 30th congressional district by incorporating deep red Tarrant County.
Crockett entering the Democrat Senate primary pits her against state Rep. James Talarico (District 50), after former Rep. Colin Allred announced Monday he was canceling his Senate bid and running instead for the newly redrawn 33rd Congressional District.
If Crockett wins the primary, she would still face an uphill battle as Texas hasn’t had a Democrat senator since 1993.
She’d also have to face off against Sen. John Cornyn (R), who – while criticized as a squishy anti-Trump neo-con – has held his seat since 2002.
Anticipating this could be the case, Sen. Cornyn over the weekend already began releasing pre-emptive attack ads targeting Crockett, and back in June urged her to run, seeing her as easy prey.

Now old clips of Crockett are resurfacing showcasing her far-left policies — dooming her bid before it even starts.
