Fayaz Husseini, who illegally entered the U.K. on a small boat under a false name, has been sentenced to five years in prison after threatening to shoot Reform U.K. leader Nigel Farage in a TikTok video — despite years of criminal convictions and multiple deportation orders in Sweden that were never enforced.

Husseini, who called himself Fayaz Khan and “Mada Pasa” online, pointed to an AK-47 tattoo on his face and said he would “pop, pop, pop” the MP for Clacton in an October 2024 video. Husseini’s remarks were in response to a video Farage made that included the Afghan migrant, in which the politician bemoaned “young males of fighting age coming into our country, about whom we know very little.”

Husseini crossed the English Channel with 64 other migrants and livestreamed the journey to hundreds of thousands of viewers.

Authorities later established that the man, described as 26-year-old Fayaz Khan in British media, is likely 31-year-old Fayaz Husseini, who arrived in Sweden from Kabul in 2015. He had been rejected for asylum, ordered to be deported, and convicted of a string of offenses — including knife possession, threats, drug crimes, vandalism, and possession of counterfeit currency — but remained in the country for nearly a decade due to legal appeals and political decisions.

Speaking after the sentencing at Southwark Crown Court, Farage called the outcome a “win” against a “violent criminal.”

“The only reason we know about this guy is because somebody sent it to me on TikTok,” he said. “It makes me wonder how many other mada pasas are there now in this country?”

The court heard that Husseini gave a false name “because he had enemies,” but prosecutors argued it was more likely he was hiding his criminal history in Sweden. He also claimed ignorance of U.K. immigration law, but prosecutors said his livestreamed Channel crossing was intended to “encourage others” to follow.

Farage described the video as “pretty chilling” during the trial, adding: “Given his proximity to guns and love of guns, I was genuinely worried.” In the TikTok clip, Husseini said: “Don’t talk about me more. Delete the video. I’m coming to England. I’m going to pop, pop, pop.”

Husseini first arrived in Sweden in 2015 during the European migrant crisis and was rejected for asylum in 2017, with the Migration Court of Appeal upholding the decision in 2018. That same year, Sweden’s controversial “Upper Secondary School Act” — supported by the Social Democrats, Greens, Center Party, and Left Party — allowed around 10,000 Afghan migrants without asylum grounds to stay if they enrolled in education.

Husseini received a new residence permit under the law, but did not pursue studies and instead continued committing crimes.

As reported by the Samnytt news outlet, among his convictions was a 2019 incident aboard a train, where he threatened a female employee, saying he would urinate on her and “cut” her, while making throat-slitting gestures. Police boarding the train in Sundsvall found 61 counterfeit 500-krona banknotes. He was convicted of threatening an official, possessing counterfeit money, and drug offenses, and a court again ordered his deportation — which was never enforced.

Despite repeated rejections of new residence permit applications and final expulsion orders, Husseini remained in Sweden until at least 2024, when he traveled to the U.K. by small boat.

During sentencing, prosecutors highlighted his 17 previous convictions in Sweden and argued that he remained a danger. The Telegraph reported how Husseini shouted from the dock that he wanted to return to Afghanistan, accusing Farage of exploiting him “because you want to be prime minister.”

“I am not guilty, I want to fix my life. I want to go back to Afghanistan. I want to go back to my country, to see my family. I am not here because I want to kill him. I have a son,” he said.

“You want to fuck my life because you want to be prime minister, you want to put me in prison? You fuck my life.”
