Authorities in a West Texas border region intercepted illegal aliens on several occasions this week.
On Friday night, Terrell County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) deputies pulled over a speeding vehicle near Sanderson, Texas.
Deputies discovered the female driver was an illegal alien from El Salvador who admitted she was in the area to pick up more illegals.
She was turned over to the custody of U.S. Border Patrol (USBP).
Hours later, TCSO and USBP encountered a group of four Mexican males who had illegally crossed the border and were heading to a pickup spot to meet a smuggler — potentially the Salvadoran female mentioned above.
“I don’t know where they were headed in the U.S., but I can tell you where they are going now…home,” stated Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland.
As a veteran Border Patrol agent of 26 years, Sheriff Cleveland treats his current position on the nation’s southern frontier as one of utmost importance in protecting not only local residents, but the country as a whole.
“Life along the U.S./Mexico border is starkly different than it was during the Biden administration, but we still see people attempting to cross illegally. This apprehension demonstrates that it takes federal, state, and local law enforcement working together to accomplish a safe and secure border,” Sheriff Cleveland told immigration news outlet Border Hawk.
