UK (LifeSiteNews) — An English homosexual sexually assaulted and smothered to death a 13-month-old boy he was in the process of adopting along with his “partner,” a jury was informed on Monday.
High school teacher Jamie Varley, 37, was charged last year with killing his prospective adoptive “son,” Preston Davey, with the complicity of his “boyfriend,” 31-year-old John McGowan-Fazakerley. The boy, Davey, was pronounced dead at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in July 2023. He is said to have suffered 40 traumatic injuries over the span of four months, according to the BBC.
Varley, who was suspended from his teaching job upon his arrest that year, is accused of numerous counts relating to murder, sexual assault of a male child, child cruelty, inflicting grievous bodily harm, taking and distributing indecent photos of a child, possessing indecent pseudo images of a child, and possession of an “extreme” pornographic image. McGowan-Fazakerley, meanwhile, stands accused of allowing the death of a child, child sexual assault, and child cruelty.
Both men are denying all charges.
Peter Wright KC, who opened the prosecution in court, said Preston had been a “perfectly healthy boy” before he was adopted by the homosexual “couple” in April 2023. He was thereafter admitted to the hospital three times within the next four months with injuries before he died.

Preston had bruises to the forehead indicating the “gripping of the little boy’s head” and bruises on his thigh that medical experts said were “consistent with a slap with an open hand.”
The baby boy was placed with the defendants at nine months old, as they initiated a process to adopt him.
An autopsy found Preston’s cause of death was acute upper airways obstruction due to smothering.
The boy’s death was “not the result of some dreadful yet unforeseen accident or natural phenomenon,” said Wright.
“The evidence gathered during the investigation into his untimely death revealed a much more sinister pathology,” he said. “We say the evidence demonstrates that he was murdered by one of the people entrusted with his wellbeing; one of his proposed adoptive parents.”

Wright said Varley sexually assaulted the boy, causing internal injuries, the day he died. Detectives found videos on Varley’s cell phone recorded the same day that showed the boy lying on a bed with “physical and obvious signs of respiratory arrest,” but Varley did not seek out medical help.
According to the UK’s national adoption information service First4Adoption, single individuals have always been legally able to adopt, and unmarried “partners,” including homosexuals, have been permitted to adopt since 2005.
The website insists that the “quality of parent-child relationships” and children’s “psychological development and wellbeing” are “just the same when children are adopted by lesbian or gay couples compared to heterosexual couples.”
But a substantial amount of social science literature supports the truth that children are best served by homes with both a mother and a father, as each sex tends to bring unique strengths and emphases to parenting, which complement one another; and gives children a positive role model of their own sex as well as helping them to understand and relate to the opposite sex. By contrast, a homosexual male “couple” by definition lacks a mother, and a lesbian “couple” is unable to provide a father, in addition to exposing a child to sexual depravity and various other problems linked to homosexuality, such as drug abuse, domestic violence, criminality, and mental illness.
In recent months, numerous homosexuals, including public figures, have been charged with childabuse, raising growing concerns about homosexuals’ access to children. A Canadian lesbian couple is now awaiting a judge’s verdict after reportedly having froze, tortured, and starved to death a 12-year-old foster boy in their custody.
