Bomb shelter manufacturer Ron Hubbard says enquiries have gone up “tenfold” since the US war with Iran broke out last Saturday.
Hubbard, 63, told The Telegraph that business has never been better for his Texas-based company, Atlas. He even claims two senior Cabinet members in the Trump administration are among his clients.
“One of them texted me yesterday, asking me: ‘When will my bunker be ready?’”, said Hubbard.

Hubbard’s company constructs hundreds of bunkers a year in its factory in Sulphur Springs, Texas. They range from vast, sprawling underground compounds worth more than $5m (£3.7m) down to small pre-cast boltholes for those wishing to ride out doomsday in a budget-friendly $20,000 (£15,000) alternative. With an aesthetic combining a submarine and a Bond-villain lair, the shelters can come with cinemas, swimming pools, an armory and fully-equipped gun range inside.
Atlas reportedly averaged $2 million in sales a month this year, but Hubbard forecasts $50 million next month.
“Bunker building is like being a farmer,” said Hubbard. “When it’s time for harvest, you have to reap all you can.”
Notably, Hubbard added no bunker in the world can protect you if targeted by the US military.
“No bunker in the world is designed to withstand a bunker buster from an American bomber,” said Hubbard. “I’m sorry you just can’t make a bunker strong enough.”
“If the Americans want you dead, you’re dead. I don’t think any bunker in the world can protect you from an American that wants to kill you.”
At the time of this writing, it is not known which Trump officials Hubbard was referring to.
