An untold quantity of illegal aliens snuck unnoticed into the U.S. during the Biden era, in addition to millions more who entered as “known gotaways.”

“There are millions more who came across completely undetected and we don’t really know what that number is,” Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) told immigration news outlet Border Hawk during a recent interview.

“I think probably the most chilling part of illegal immigration, in my mind, is just the unknown. The more you learn, the more disturbing it gets.”

When asked to estimated how many illegal aliens are living in his state, Rep. Gill replied, “I don’t really know what the number is in Texas, but we know it is significant.”

Meanwhile, leftists are “utterly against” any form of border security or deportations of illegal aliens, even if they are “ruthless” gang members.

“Why in the world would anybody, especially an elected official, not want to get violent criminals out of our country? I think the reality is that they are making a political play here. They know that these millions of illegal aliens who come into our country impact congressional apportionment, typically benefitting blue states at the expense of red states,” Rep. Gill said.

“Whenever Democrats all of a sudden start talking about due process to deport [illegals], all that is is creating procedural mechanisms to stop us from upholding laws that are already on the books… I think that’s why you see the courts trying to tie up these processes.”

Rep. Gill also called for the federal government to defund sanctuary jurisdictions.

“You have local, state, and municipal governments who are saying, ‘We will not work with federal immigration enforcement,'” Gill said. “For example, if you have an illegal alien who gets arrested by a local police department for petty theft, and that illegal alien has an immigration detainer on them — instead of turning that illegal alien over to ICE, these sanctuary jurisdictions will release them out onto the street.”

“That makes those communities less safe. It undermines our country’s sovereignty. I think that it’s utterly lawless… If they refuse to work with federal law enforcement — I don’t think we should provide them funding,” Gill asserted.
