An English actress starring in the Netflix series Bridgerton reported being randomly punched in the face by a stranger in London this week, her second confrontation in the city this year.
“Guys, literally, five minutes before my audition I was walking around the corner in Oxford Circus and this guy just looks at me and like targets me and fucking hits me,” actress Genevieve Chenneour said in a video posted to social media.

Chenneour says she was walking to an audition when a man in central London assaulted her.
She described her attacker as "about 50 years old, 6ft 3in,… pic.twitter.com/73vXMegwaB
The actress, whose Instagram lists “she/her” pronouns, said before the attack she was thinking of moving back to London and went on to recall her confrontation with a phone thief inside a coffee shop in London earlier this year.
“I’m trying to like gather myself but I’m so shaken because obviously I had that phone attack happen to me and I was like so nerve-racking for me being out in Central London now, and I just got my confidence up and was like looking at moving back and he just, he literally, like, I couldn’t walk anywhere, he was just looking at me and he just fucking hit me.”
Footage from February shows the actress fight off the phone thief.
She later joined Nigel Farage on GB News to discuss the incident, saying she could’ve been stabbed during the altercation.
