President Trump just said the suspected assassin of Charlie Kirk is in custody.
“I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” said Trump on Fox News Friday morning.
Trump then explained that someone “very close” to the suspect turned him.
“I hope he gets the death penalty,” Trump continued.
“Charlie Kirk was the finest person,” said Trump. “He didn’t deserve this.”
“The [Utah] Governor is very intent on the death penalty in this case, as he should be.”
