President Donald Trump on Saturday issued a Truth Social message blasting everyone who has criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi for failing to produce the long-awaited “Epstein files” after previously telling the public the FBI had “tens of thousands of videos of Epstein with children, or child porn.”
After Bondi issued a memo last week claiming Epstein did not blackmail powerful figures as part of a “client list” and that the DOJ “found no basis to revisit the disclosure of” Epstein’s sexual abuse materials or “permit the release of child pornography,” many MAGA supporters became upset at the lack of transparency.
A large amount of Trump supporters also voiced concerns about footage of Epstein’s jail cell that was promised to prove he did not kill himself instead appearing to have been edited and missing a whole minute of film.
Now, after several prominent Trump insiders and supporters have spoken out about the botched data release, the president is asking why they’re going after Bondi and is claiming “nobody cares” about the Epstein issue.
“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening,” he wrote.
Next, POTUS blamed the Obama administration for creating the Epstein files, writing, “Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, ‘THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,’ and more? They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called ‘friends’ are playing right into their hands.”
Making a fair point, Trump asked, “Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?”
He continued to boast of his administration’s many successes before saying they’re “never enough for some people.”
“Kash Patel, and the FBI, must be focused on investigating Voter Fraud, Political Corruption, ActBlue, The Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020, and arresting Thugs and Criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein,” he wrote.
Trump concluded the lengthy message, writing, “One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The social media post is tone deaf and ignores the fact that he campaigned on releasing the files.
Earlier this week, former Fox News anchor and current host of the “No Spin News” podcast Bill O’Reilly said President Trump told him one reason the “Epstein files” have been withheld is to protect many prominent figures who were in the deceased pedophile’s circle who didn’t necessarily take part in his child sex trafficking operations.
The president’s message will likely only cause more frustration among those who are suspicious of the administration’s findings, or lack thereof.
