Chief of Staff at the Department of Justice Chad Mizelle announced on 𝕏 Thursday that Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to every sheriff in the state of California requesting a list of all county jail prisoners who are illegal aliens.

“Every illegal alien has broken federal immigration law and violated our Nation’s sovereignty. But those who commit additional crimes on American soil are especially dangerous to our Nation’s safety and security. Deporting them is POTUS’s highest priority,” Mizelle wrote.

The DOJ official added, “Today, AG Pam Bondi sent letters to several California sheriffs—including Sheriff Robert Luna of Los Angeles County, the most populous county in America—requesting lists of all inmates in their county jails who are not citizens of the United States, their crimes of arrest or conviction, and their scheduled release dates. It’s time for California’s county sheriffs to fulfill their oath of office and keep the citizens of their counties safe and secure.”

Bondi’s letter explained the Biden administration allowed “an invasion of illegal aliens at an unprecedented scale” with “millions” of potential “members of cartels, gangs and violent transnational criminal organizations” pouring into the country.

The AG continued to note many illegals have committed numerous crimes such as rape, murder and trafficking dangerous narcotics.

She stated that, while all illegal aliens in the U.S. have already committed a crime by entering without permission, those who went on to engage in further criminal activities are the Trump administration’s highest priority because they “pose a heightened risk” to Americans’ safety and security.

“As the administrator of the Los Angeles County jails, you are uniquely positioned to assist the federal government with its efforts to identify and remove illegal aliens who committed crimes after entering the United States,” AG Bondi told LA County Sheriff Robert G. Luna.

The California sheriffs are now asked to provide the DOJ with a list of all illegal alien inmates within 14 days of arrest or conviction and their scheduled release dates.

As of now, Bondi is hoping law enforcement will hand over the information voluntarily, but she warned the DOJ will “pursue all available means of obtaining it, including subpoenas” if necessary, to provide access to judicial officers and inmates within the Department of Justice.
