Image Credit: AfD Germany’s left-wing extremist capital, Berlin, was forced to confront what many have long warned about: Antifa functions as a terrorist organization.
For days, residents in the southern districts of the city were left without electricity. On Jan. 3, still-unknown Antifa terrorists from the so-called “Vulkan Group” attacked a power distribution circuit in southern Berlin using explosives.
It took five days and foreign assistance from Austria to restore power to the city. For many, this was a devastating sign of state incompetence.
130,000 People Suffered – One Fatality
For ordinary citizens, the situation was dire.
They froze, were unable to prepare warm meals, and spent nights sitting in darkness. Fear was constant, particularly of organized migrant burglary gangs exploiting the chaos. Emergency services such as police and ambulances were often unreachable, as mobile phone networks also failed in large areas.
An 83-year-old pensioner died, reportedly due to the lack of heating.
Political Failure
For hours, politicians remained silent about the disaster. The left-wing district mayor even actively refused to deploy the German Armed Forces for crisis assistance. Residents felt abandoned.
Citizens were casually told they could rent hotel rooms for 70 euros per night. At the same time, asylum seekers were evacuated from their housing within the first hours. Ordinary citizens received no assistance. No officials went door-to-door to inform residents, let alone provide food or hot soup. Only police patrols monitored neighborhoods and made loudspeaker announcements.
Claim of Responsibility Published
Early on, a claim of responsibility appeared on the Antifa platform Indymedia.
The “Vulkan Group” took credit for the attack, celebrating the multi-day blackout affecting 50,000 households as a success for the climate and for reducing CO₂ emissions.
InfoWars on the Ground: Antifa Strongholds in Berlin
InfoWars reporter Dan Lyman documented Antifa activity in Berlin in 2020 while serving as bureau chief for InfoWars Europe. Former Member of the German Bundestag Petr Bystron (Alternative for Germany) took Lyman to Liebig 34, a building Antifa had illegally occupied for decades. The eviction required 2,500 police officers and armored vehicles, as Antifa militants from across Europe converged on Berlin to confront authorities.
The operation exposed Antifa’s de facto control over entire neighborhoods and its protection through political tolerance and public funding. Since then, Berlin has taken no decisive action against Antifa — with fatal consequences, as the recent blackout has shown.
Bystron has pushed for a ban on Antifa in Bavaria and Germany.
“The time has come to dismantle these extremist structures and end their state financing,” Bystron said.
Report Shows the Conditions in Berlin
This situation could repeat itself at any time, and the fact that restoring power took nearly a week is shocking.
A stronger crackdown on Antifa is not planned, due to a government that is sympathetic toward them. In Berlin, Antifa organizations receive millions in taxpayer funding every year.
Germany’s weakness invites further attacks. New incidents have already followed and police are now expected to guard critical infrastructure.
Germany has fallen from a top industrial nation into a shithole.
