Australia’s globalist Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a Monday speech that his government is set to expand “hate speech” laws after an Islamist terror attack by a father-son duo targeted Jewish citizens at Sydney’s Bondi Beach massacre last week.
“We’ll do what it takes to stamp out antisemitism in this country, with new laws and stronger penalties against hate speech,” Albanese wrote on 𝕏.
The Australian government “will work everyday to protect Jewish Australians,” Albanese promised, saying they “have the fundamental right to be proud of who they are, to practice their faith, to educate their children and to engage in Australian society in the fullest way possible.”
“We’re not going to let the ISIS-inspired terrorists win,” he added. “We won’t let them divide our society and we’ll get through this together.”
The “unprecedented radicalization” of young Australians was cited as a major reason for the new legislation.
Albanese’s government reportedly plans on creating a new criminal offense for “inciting hatred” as well as a new aggravating offense for adults using the internet to radicalize or influence children.
Of course, the new laws will not be limited to Muslim radicalization and will surely be used against those deemed by the leftist government to be “radicalizing” children or young people by promoting “right-wing” ideology.
For example, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said the government is looking to create a list of “hate” organizations for groups not currently labeled as domestic terror organizations so they could be banned from operating inside Australia.
“These organizations, for a long time have been able to take hate right to the threshold without using the words ‘violence’ and escape any further terrorist listing,” he said.
Upon arriving at Bondi Beach over the weekend, Albanese was loudly booed by Aussies sick of his leftist government.
The anti-hate speech laws are a slippery slope for free speech as seen in the UK where citizens are routinely arrested and criminally charged for offending the foreigners who have invaded their country.
