Yet another woman has accused Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (Calif.) of drugging and raping her, as numerous sex scandals have engulfed the congressman pushing him out of the governor’s race and Congress.
“He raped me, and he choked me. And while he was choking me, I lost consciousness,” Lonna Drewes told the press Tuesday, regarding the alleged 2018 assault that took place in a California hotel room. “I thought I died.”

Drewes, a fashion executive and model, says she knew Swalwell was married and his wife pregnant at the time and that she thought “he was my friend,” when she agreed to a glass of wine and followed him to his hotel room to retrieve documents for a political event. She said she later believed he “drugged my drink.”

Drewes said after she had a glass of wine, Swalwell lured her to his hotel room by telling her he needed to get some paperwork before they went to a political event. By the time she reached the room, she said she was “incapacitated.”
She said that “I couldn’t move my arms or my body” and that’s when Swalwell attacked her.
“I would never have engaged in a consensual sexual encounter with Eric Swalwell,” she said, noting that she had a boyfriend at the time and have “never cheated in my life.”
The woman says she contemplated suicide following the incident, saying it had “a profound impact on my mental health,” and “I did not want to live anymore.”
Drewes’ attorney Lisa Bloom said they would soon be filing a police report with the City of Los Angeles.

Swalwell has been dogged by numerous claims of sexual misconduct that have forced him out of both the California governor’s race and Congress, including rumors of a relationship with a Chinese spy, affairs with staffers and soliciting prostitutes.
Drewes’ claims follow other accusations from an anonymous staffer and other women last week who also alleged Swalwell had raped them.
In comments upon announcing his resignation from Congress, Swalwell admitted to “mistakes,” saying, “I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past… I will fight the serious false allegation made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make.”
Swalwell has not yet responded to Drewes’ allegations.
