An illegal alien from Africa who was training to be a corrections officer in Pennsylvania was charged with rape and then set free by officials in the sanctuary county, authorities say.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) just released disturbing details about the recent apprehension of Ibrahim George Kallon, a citizen of Sierra Leone.
Kallon initially entered the U.S. on a visitor visa that expired in 2024.
Despite remaining in the country illegally, he was reportedly hired to work as a corrections officer in Delaware County, which the Center for Immigration Studies has classified as sanctuary jurisdiction.
While in training, Kallon was arrested by the Glenolden Police Department on a slew of charges including rape, sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and false imprisonment.
ICE immediately lodged a detainer request with the Delaware County Prison — the same facility where Kallon was hired.
Incredibly, the court reportedly lowered Kallon’s bond from $250,000 to $100,000, and then allowed him to pay just $1 before he was released back into the community on Feb 5.
ICE officers tracked Kallon down and took him into custody on Feb. 11.
“If the county won’t protect its own residents, we’ll do it for them,” ICE stated.
Federal authorities are catching a growing number of illegal aliens working in law enforcement across the U.S.
Weeks ago, a Cameroonian illegal hired by the New Orleans Police Department was busted by ICE in Louisiana.
In January, an Angolan national hired as a corrections officer was arrested in Cumberland County, Maine, and in July, federal agents arrested an illegal alien from Jamaica who was working as a police officer in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
