Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) held an Oversight Committee hearing Tuesday addressing weather modification and geoengineering activities, interviewing witnesses on the dangerous unintended consequences of the government controlling the weather.
During the hearing dubbed, “Playing God with the Weather — a Disastrous Forecast,” chairwoman Greene pointed out people are tired of weather experimentation happening in the skies across America, as she teed up her bill, HR4403, the Clear Skies Act, “A BILL To prohibit weather modification within the United States, and for other purposes.”
“We are not talking about experiments that take place within the four walls of a laboratory. Our world is the laboratory. And we happen to be the lab rats,” Rep. Greene said at the hearing. “Blocking the sun would have unknown consequences that no scientific climate model could ever reliably predict.”

“For years, anybody who questioned weather modification was labeled crazy or a conspiracy theorist. Now, we’ve learned that they’ve been doing it for decades, and not only is it a multi-billion dollar industry, the government has invested a lot of Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars into it.”
Rep. Greene also played a video of remarks from Trump EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin:
“To anyone who’s ever looked up to the streaks in the sky and asked, ‘What the heck is going on?’ Or seen headlines about private actors and even governments looking to blot out the sun in the name of stopping global warming? We’ve endeavoured to answer all of your questions at the links on your screen. (epa.gov/contrails, epa.gov/geoengineering) In fact, EPA shares many of the same concerns when it comes to potential threats to human health and the environment, especially from solar geoengineering activities.”
Rep. Greene concluded the meeting by calling attention to her bill, stating, “This is why I’ve introduced my bill the Clear Skies Act to end weather modification and geoengineering, because I don’t believe Planet Earth is a lab and I don’t believe people are lab rats. I believe that people have the God-given right to have clean air, clean skies, clean water and clean food.”
