A ‘youth takeover’ reportedly being planned on social media for the upscale Navy Yard district was thwarted by an “overwhelming response” from law enforcement and the military on Saturday night.
“Large National Guard and Police presence ahead of the juvenile curfew which begins at 8pm,” reported White House correspondent Wid Lyman.
“There have been large groups of youths taking over the area recently.”
A short time later, Lyman posted footage showing officers and soldiers charging to the scene of an “incident involving several young people” inside Navy Yard-Ballpark metro station.
“This reporter observed at least 2 people being questioned by Transit police. Multiple officers with crowd control munitions were observed and an ambulance had arrived,” he stated.
D.C. Metro Police announced two “juvenile curfew zones” would be in effect from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Navy Yard and the U Street corridor.
Earlier this month, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser reinstated a citywide overnight curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. for anyone under 18 years of age.
In August, hours before the Trump administration launched a historic effort to crackdown on crime and degradation in the nation’s capital, a youth takeover at Navy Yard led to a shooting and the arrest of a male teenager at the scene.
InfoWars will continue to monitor efforts to regain control of the District of Columbia.
