U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents came under fire during immigration enforcement operations in a Chicago neighborhood where a local activist recently vowed to “fight” federal authorities.
On Saturday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that an “unknown male driving a black Jeep fired shots at agents and fled the scene” in Little Village, a designated community where the majority of residents are of Mexican descent.
“An unknown number of agitators also threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol’s vehicles. Chicago Police Department was called for assistance and cleared the scene. The shooter and vehicle remain at large, and this is a dynamic situation,” DHS stated.
Footage that may have been shot at the scene of the protracted onslaught shows a woman attempting to slam the door of a federal vehicle before she is tackled to the ground by USBP agents.
“Agents shot at, vehicular assaults, physical assaults, impeding, violent mobs, vehicular blockades, illegal aliens – this was what agents were up against FOR HOURS today as they once again successfully conducted Title 8 immigration enforcement in Chicago,” USBP Commander Gregory Bovino revealed.

The shocking attack comes just days after Baltazar Enriquez, president of the Little Village Community Council, proclaimed that his allies in the area “know how to fight.”
“We are not scared. If they bring 100 of them, we’re gonna bring 1,000 of us. If they bring 1,000 of them, we’re gonna bring 10,000 of us,” Enriquez stated this week during a speech at a ‘Refuse Fascism’ rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
“We will fight back in every minute, in every moment in Little Village. They have came to terrorize us and put fear in my city. And we say, f**k you.”
Calling ICE “modern-day Nazis,” Enriquez said he “condemns” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino, and “every single American who stays silent, watching children who are being caged and people who are being murdered by ICE agents.”
Illegal aliens and radical leftists become increasingly brazen in their resistance to immigration law enforcement.
